Christmas Poem...💕

Hi! I am Elise and today I am sharing with you my LAST BLOG POST OF THE YEAR!!!!
This week I made a Christmas poem.
Here it is:

The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the
house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

I heard a jingle, I got a tingle. 

I heard something on the roof, I think it was a hoof!

 I saw some lights, they were very bright!

 He wore a big red suit and big black boots, his beard was
wiry like roots and his face was covered in soot.

He left a present or two, was this night true?

 Before he left he fed his deer, and put a note on a chair!

 Last but not least he checked his map, and put a present on
his lap.

He flew off in a flash, i thought he was gonna crash!

Then he yelled “MERRY CHRISTMAS    TO ALL AND
GOODNIGHT!!!!   HOHOHO”

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas poem. It is cringy, but oh-well

About my poem:

I spent about 3 days working on a poem. It took me quite a while to start off my poem but eventually it came to my head. I was thinking, 'hmm. What should it start off with? OOH! I KNOW!! I heard a jingle. Wait. But what rhymes with jingle?' So i searched 'what rhymes with jingle' so this little website came up called 'Rhyme Zone' so i clicked that and it helped me a lot. My word was tingle. So i continued. At the end of my poem i thought it could be Before He Left He Fed His Deer, And Put A Note On A Chair. So i thought i had finished but really, no.

On the second day i added something. I added I Saw Some Lights, They Were Very Bright.

MUSEUM DAY FOR TUMU HUB!!! WOOHOO!!!!

HELLO!!!! I am back!!!!! Those were a couple of pictures to start off my post. 

I had so much fun at the museum. I wish we could go back there, or stay there longer. 

There were so many cool things there. I went in the hurricane storm thing. I used to think that it was scary!! My parent helper was Abby, Travis' mum. I was in a group with: Corinne, Dakota, Oliver, Travis, Lara, Lincoln B and James. We had a little muddle up with the classrooms. Me, my sister and Charlie L thought our class was at the front but it really, it was at the back. So we walked to the door for nothing. 

We got inside and sat down with our bags. Next we had to put them in boxes. It was tourist season so we had to do X's with our arms like this:

The trip was great fun. Like I said earlier I would like to stay longer. We got to walk around with our class for a while. Corinne, my twin sister, scared a boy called Oliver, and it was so funny!!!😆😆😆We were laughing for so long!!! I didn't manage to get onto the horse, I'm afraid of heights so that is why I did not go on it. I would've gone on it if I weren't afraid of heights! We went over to the mummy's. I got a bit scared because I did not want to get the whiff of disgusting dead person smell! But I did not. Corinne was a bit scared too. But anyways. There was some sort of mirror thing. It was changing pictures.They were fading away and then appearing again. It was weird. My friend Lara was scared too, it was kind of.... funny!!😄😃😁!! We got a bit worried so we ran out and huddled!! Then we looked at the dinosaurs!

Then we moved on to the Under Water Animal Sounds!!

That is kind of a bad picture but anyways...

We had a great time there! I used to go with my family and that was ok but when I went here, IT WAS GREAT!!!!!

NZ Disaster!! TRAIN CRASH!!!!!

On the 24th of December, 1953, a tragic train crash happened. We did some learning on the subject. Me and my sister, Corinne, did an animation on it. It was called the Tangiwai Disaster. I hope you like our animation. First we made the title, NZ Disasters, then we put a background on it. Next we made another slide. We made a railway for our train. then we made it break. and the train came ZOOMING past. The first carriage fell, then another, then the next one, but thankfully the last carriage was safe!! We did lots of fun learning!!

Student Teachers!!!!!

                         Student Teachers

Right now, we have a couple of student teachers. The one in my class, is called Miss Thomas. The one in Mrs Carney's class, is called Miss Wood. 
Miss Thomas has: blond/brown hair, brown eyes, tanned skin and a nice personalty!!!
Miss Wood has: brown hair, blue eyes, tanned skin, a slightly freckled face(in a nice way) and a nice personalty!!!

I really enjoy having these teachers in my hub. They bring smiles to the hub and separate classes. Every day, I say hi to them. They say hi back and smile. I think that they bring joy to the children around them. I would definitely have them back. When they leave I will be so upset. The are a great edition to our hub!!
I personally think that they will be GREAT teachers!!!!

How Has Technology Changed The Way We Learn?

How has technology changed the way we learn?

Hi. My name is Elise and I think school was better years ago, like when I was in year one and two. We only had books, Ipad's and pens. Our books were to do our math and writing in. the iPad's were to play math games and other games in free time.

When I was year one, we had pens and pencils and a couple of books and an iPad. I think we had 10 or 15 iPad's per class, and in my class there were about 22 people.

Technology changes almost every year, week or even days!!! It is hard to believe, but it is very true. There are now hubs, if you don't know what hubs are, they are, for example three class rooms in one!! There used to be blackboards, now whiteboards. There used to be no TVs, now there are. The school years have changed a lot since I was year one.

We have new things. Technology is great!! It helps so many people. We now have more useful things, such as, whiteboard tables, Chrome books and other things that will take too much time to say and explain.

When I get a job, our school will probably change a lot. It might even be knocked down!!

What do you think about the schools changing?

NEWSPAPER CLOTHES!!!!!!!

Hi, my name is Elise. Me and my class did Newspaper clothes! The instruction was to make formal clothes. We had to make at least 2 jackets, 1 skirt and 1 pair of pants.

The people in my team were: Lara S, Corinne E, Lucas C, Lewis C and Me! I made a jacket, Lara made the skirt, Corinne made the pants, Lewis made a hat and Lucas made a hat as well.
We had 55 minutes to make our clothes. My biggest fear when we were creating this, was that I wouldn't finish in time. And that happened. DUN DUN DUUUUN!!!!! It was so stressful.
It felt like time just zoomed by like a cheetah! It went so fast. I liked doing it. It was pretty fun. I think we all should of had hats.

My team was so positive. We were all so stressed. When we were doing cat walk my jacket RIPPED!! My highlight of this challenge was when we were making it!! I hope you enjoyed my post on Newspaper Clothes!!!!!!!!!
