spiritual, social, physical and mental walls.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. This blog is about reading!

We have been reading about all of the different types of health. The different types are: Mental/emotional, social, physical and spiritual. These are also known as your 'health walls'. Your 'health walls' build a 'house' in your head, if one of your walls are knocked down (not going so well) then your whole house will be knocked over.

I made a poster about all the things that make me happy. It has snow, because I love snow. It has rain and lightning because I love it when it is stormy. It has the words friends and family because I have lots of friends that are really kind to me and I put my family because I love my family. It has a phone with the spotify loading screen because I love music. It has a plane because I travel a lot. It has two cats and a dog to represent my pets. I added in a paintbrush because i love painting!

Here is a reminder of the walls: Spiritual, social, physical and mental/emotional. The wall that I am most at peace at is spiritual. I need to work on my mental, social and physical.

Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you enjoyed.

What walls are you most at peace with and what ones do you need to work on?

A Feisty Feline Cancels Plane Trip!!!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!! the goal for reading this week is 'revise and rework writing for clarity, impact and purpose'.  We had to choose 3 articles from Kiwi Kids News. I chose the following three:

  • Cats forces aeroplane to cancel trip
  • Medsafe approves Covid-19 vaccine for over 12-year-olds
  • China announces new three child policy
The first one is about a kitten who somehow managed to get into the cockpit. it attacked the pilots and the plane had to turn around.

The second one is about how Jacinda Ardern is most likely going to let 12 year olds get Covid Vaccines.

The third one is about how China is making a 3 child limit. So parents are only allowed 3 children.

Here is my reading task:

I hope you enjoyed!

Thank you so much for reading my blog for this week and i hope you enjoyed every bit of it!! see you later!

Have you ever read off of Kiwi Kids News?
Do you think 12 year olds should get Covid-19 vaccines?
Would you want a 3 child policy?
What are your thoughts on the cats incident?

Map Making!

Hello bloggers! The goal for this weeks math is 'communicate and interpret locations and directions, using compass directions, distances, and grid references.'

For this we had to choose a location on google maps and screenshot it. I chose margaret mahy playground. Then we put a grid over top of it and share it with one other class mate. I shared mine with Charlie Lingard. He had to find the locations I chose for him and write the coordinates down. Here is my create

He got all of them correct!

I hope you enjoyed my blog and I will see you in the next post!

Whats your favourite place in your country?

If you had to choose one place in the world, what would it be?

Have you ever been to margaret mahy playground?

What´s your favorite animal in New Zealand?

Hello everyone! This week for math I had to do a statistical investigation. My question is What´s your favorite animal in New Zealand?

I got 26 people to answer the question. Here is my graph :)

i made it big so you can see it
i hope you enjoyed my graph.

I also made a slide so you can see more of it and what ´place' the animals came.

if your wondering what a statistical investigation is, you think up a question (e.g what is your favourite cake flavour) and you write down your choices (e.g chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, other). you then go around and ask your question to people. you can have an aim, like i did. my aim was 25 and i asked 26 people. after you collect all your data, make a graph and customize it.

I hope you liked my blog.

QUESTIONS
If you had to create a statistical investigation, what would your question be?
If you had one question, and the question was what is your favourite cake flavour, what would your flavours be?

Rescue Mission Ōnawe Pa!

Hello everyone. How are you? This week for maths we had to make a map and find Christchurch City Central, Ōnawe Pa and Kaiapoi Pa. We also had to measure the distance from the Kaiapoi Pa to Christchurch City Central, to the Ōnawe Pa. Here is a screenshot of my map measuring.
The distance from Kaiapoi Pa to Ōnawe Pa is 70.2km.

The coordinates for the Kaiapoi Pa is 43.225 south, and 172.392 east. For the Ōnawe Pa it is 43.774 south, and 172.925 east.

The reason the distance is so long is because we had to go through Christchurch City Central. We also had to make it realistic, so we couldn´t be floating through the water the whole time, or climbing up and down mountains and then going through water.

The next thing we had to do was look at a map around Christchurch and try and figure out the coordinates to places. Miss Henderson gave us a location and we had to find it and then figure out the coordinates. I worked with Tash, make sure you check out her blog too!

Thank you for reading my blog.

Have you ever visited a Pa before?
